Newcomb Cemetery

  • LOCATION: In Mt. Vernon, KY, on Richmond Street at the “T” intersection of Tevis Street on the west side of Richmond Street. It is possible that some stones were missed. There are a number of field stones that probably mark graves. (Cemetery was cleaned Fall 1987)
  • NOTE: Smith graves form a circle. The military unit USCI is U. S. Colored Infantry. It is said that an elderly Caucasian woman is buried here – no other information.
