Cemetery Information

Payne Cemetery

  • LOCATION: This cemetery is on the old Frank Morgan farm. He died in 1928. Start at the intersection of Rout 370 and Willailla-Todd Road near the Pulaski County line. Go eastward on Willailla-Todd Road .9 mile to gravel road on right. Turn right and go about .4 mile to the place that the gravel stops. Park your car. The old Frank Morgan house is on the right. The cemetery is about 300′ south of the house and the gravel road. The cemetery is fenced.
  • NOTE: The fenced area is about 30′ x 40′. As noted above 4 graves are marked with field-stones only. It looks as if there may be others buried at this site. It is thought that people by the name of Payne are buried here. They were ancestors of either Frank Morgan or his wife. This property is near the John Brad Cummins old place and there may be a Cummins or two here.
